PM inaugurates PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 at ICAR: Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, The Indian government has inaugurated 600 Pradan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras across the country. These centres will provide farmers with a wide range of services, including access to fertilisers, seeds, and advice on farming practices.
The government has also launched the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Urvarak Pariyojana, which aims to provide every farmer in India with access to quality fertilisers. Under this scheme, 3.5 lakh fertiliser retail shops will be converted to Pradan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras in a phased manner.
In addition, the government has released PM-KISAN funds worth Rs 16,000 crore to support the farming sector.
PM inaugurates PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 at ICAR
On 17th October 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). In his address, the Prime Minister said that the Sammelan will provide a platform for the country’s farmers to showcase their achievements and exchange ideas. He also said that the government is committed to the welfare of farmers and is working to provide them with better facilities and infrastructure. The Prime Minister also interacted with the farmers present at the Sammelan and encouraged them to continue their efforts to improve the agricultural sector.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 at Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi today. This event marks the launch of 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSK) under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers, as well as the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Urvarak Pariyojana – One Nation One Fertiliser.
During the event, the Prime Minister also released the 12th instalment amount of Rs. 16,000 crores under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) through Direct Benefit Transfer. With this initiative, the government aims to provide financial assistance to farmers and boost agricultural growth in the country.
