Happy Chhath Puja 2022: We are eagerly awaiting the Chhath Puja of 2022. This year, the festival will be extra special, as it will mark the beginning of a new decade. We hope that the Chhath Puja of 2022 will be a joyous and prosperous one for all of us. We will once again come together to worship the Sun and offer our prayers for a happy and prosperous year ahead. We will also take part in the traditional activities associated with the festival, such as decorating our homes and preparing special sweets.
Chhath is a popular Hindu festival celebrated in many parts of India, especially in the state of Bihar. The festival is dedicated to the Sun god and is observed for four days. On the first day, people take a holy dip in rivers and offer prayers to the sun god. On the second day, they prepare special food offerings called ‘prasad’ and offer it to the sun god. On the third day, they offer their prayers and thanksgiving to the sun god. On the fourth day, they take another holy dip in the river and conclude the festival with a grand feast.
Women across the country observe long fasts during Chhath Puja to promote the prosperity and progress of their family members. According to Drik Panchang, Chhath Puja 2022 will be celebrated on Sunday, 30 October 2022. Shashthi Tithi starts at 5:49 am on 30 October and ends at 3:27 am on 31 October.
